StickerSync privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-10-25
Summary
StickerSync has no ads, does not sell data and uses no analytics or tracking tools. Your stickers and photos stay on your device. Some features go through a server of ours, which only relays information to Telegram and does not keep your stickers.
What stays on your device
Your packs, the sticker creator drafts (photos you pick and their cutouts), the links of packs you created on Telegram and the app settings are stored only on your device. Background removal for photos runs on the device itself, through Google Play services (ML Kit); the photos are not sent to us.
What goes through our server
To read a Telegram pack and to create a pack on your Telegram account, the app uses a server of ours (hosted on Cloudflare) that holds the Telegram bot key so it never sits inside the app. The server relays requests to Telegram and returns the answer. Sticker files passing through it are not stored by us, except for a temporary cache of public sticker files (up to 1 hour) and of a pack's information (up to 1 minute) to make things faster.
When you connect Telegram, you tap Start in a bot. The server receives your start message with your Telegram numeric ID and keeps it for at most 10 minutes, only so the app can find out who you are. After that, the ID stays only on your device.
To limit abuse, the server uses your IP address and a random identifier of the app installation (which does not identify you). We do not record these beyond what the usage limit needs; Cloudflare may keep technical logs under its own policy.
Packs created on Telegram
Packs you create on Telegram show up in your account but are created by a StickerSync bot, as Telegram requires. To delete a pack on Telegram, use Telegram itself (for example the @Stickers bot).
Google Drive (optional)
If you choose to back up to Google Drive, the app asks for access only to files and folders it creates itself (the drive.file permission). It creates a folder called StickerSync with one backup file and cannot see any other file of yours. The access is kept on your device; we do not receive your Google data or the backup contents.
StickerSync's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions and delete the StickerSync folder from your Drive.
Who data is shared with
Telegram (to read and create packs), Cloudflare (server hosting), Google (Drive, if you use it, and Google Play services for photo cutouts) and WhatsApp (when you add a pack, through the standard Android mechanism). We never sell or rent data to anyone.
Your rights and how to delete everything
To delete local data, uninstall the app or clear its data in Android settings. To delete the backup, delete the StickerSync folder on Google Drive. For questions or requests about your data, write to the contact below.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If anything changes, we update this page and the date above.
